Little or big?

Get your dirty little minds out of the gutter.  I do NOT want to know about ahem.  Slap yourself in the face for thinking those dirty thoughts, and get back to what "normal" people think, ok?

A recent conversation with Addy:
Addy:  Mommy, I'm a big girl.
Mommy:  Yes, you are.  But, I want you to be a little girl still.
Addy:  (whining) But, I WANT to be a big girl.
Mommy:  Ok, Addy you are a big girl.  Mommy, just wants you all to stay little forever so you can stay home with me every day.
Addy:  I want to stay home with you.
Daddy:  Addy, you are going to be going to school soon.
Addy:  (scared) I don't want to go to school, I want to stay home with you, mommy.
Daddy:  But, you'll have to go to school some day.
Addy:  (tears running down her face)
Mommy:  Addy, don't worry.  You don't have to go to school for a long time.
Addy:  Mommy, can I be little?  I don't want to be a big girl any more.

Mommy wins - Addy is staying little forever.

  1. Can you come over and work that magic over here? I'd like to stop all this growing up business.

  5. Lauren still says that she wishes she could be Allison so she didn't have to go to school because she misses me. I reminded her that I would be at work either way. It makes me so sad that I couldn't manage to be a SAHM. I know you didn't really plan for it to be that way, but I'm sure that you are thankful for the time with them (even when they are driving you crazy!).

Don't just read, say something! Sorry, I had to add the word verification - I am being spammed.
