How the cookie crumbles

  • Hubby has some leave days built up, so we planned a trip to IL for the next two weeks.
  • Monday we got the call about possibly moving on post
  • Drove by house and said, "Hell to the NO."
  • But, still made an appointment to view it today.
  • Went inside a completely renovated house with loads of room for all of us and our "stuff."
  • Spent the afternoon going back and forth with what to do.
  • Talked to current property management and even though our year is not up we can still get out of it since they never technically signed a lease and because hubby made a RIDICULOUS fib.
  • We made the decision to go ahead with it.
  • We leave for IL this weekend, will have to be back no later than the 12th to sign a lease
  • Mom is going to keep the monkeys for a couple days so we can head back and move.
  • We don't have any boxes or extra containers to pack anything up
  • This is going to be the worst move ever.
  • No doubt about it.
  • The end will be worth it for various reasons:
    • saving money
    • walking distance to spray park and playgrounds
    • closer to work for hubby
    • more space
    • every single child will have their own room - hallelujah!!!
    • saving money
    • saving money
  • I just need to remind myself that it will be worth it in the end (at least we hope).

  1. Good thing you didn't judge the book by it's cover ;-) Are there local stores you can stop by and ask for their old boxes?

I had to share the recipes! First because not doing so would be an injustice to the world. Second because I need everyone to know why I won't be losing (more like gaining) weight ;-)

  2. Wow, that's huge! You had me at saving money. Sounds like you're doing the right for your fam.

  3. It will totally be worth it! And, in your free time, I'd like some pictures. Thank you very much!

  4. It sounds like it will totally be worth it in the end, you'll just need lots of beer to get through the moving process :)

Don't just read, say something! Sorry, I had to add the word verification - I am being spammed.
