200th post - and Addy heads to PreK

I had no idea that my 200th post here at my new "home" would be the very same day that my Addy would head to PreK.  It is fitting for me to share these moments hand and hand.

Some pictures and commentary of OUR big day.

The night before the big day, before I started asking my mommy to come with me and I told her how much I was going to miss her - a whole bunch, by the way.

Modeling the outfit I picked out

Kinsley said she is going to miss me and wanted hugs

Check out my new bag, it has my name on it.  Can you see it?

A picture with my mommy.  She is going for a walk with the babies while I am at school, so she has on her running clothes, ok?

I want a picture with my daddy, too

This is me pretending to be excited.  As soon as I walked into school I kept asking my mommy to stay with me over and over again.  And then, when I saw my teacher I cried and they took me into the classroom.  But, I only cried for a little bit.  I had a fun first day including some play-dohing, biking, letter matching, marching to the bathroom where there is a duck on the door for the girls and boys go in a different bathroom with a bear, dress up but I won't wear the black dress the boy that used to be a girl but is now a boy wore it, and I even played with a kitchen.

*I, on the other hand, cried when she went in the room because she was so upset and I felt horrible.  Then, I cried all the way to the van, which is across the street quite a bit.  I feel like today happened and she won't have to go back or that it is summer vacation.  But, it is only the beginning of a long journey through school and I have not settled into it all just yet, and I have a feeling it is going to be a while before I do.

  1. Glad she had a fun first day of school!

    Many hugs to you, though.

  2. Hugs to you.

(She looked cute as a button though!)

  3. That backpack is huge!!! I love it! I'm glad you all made it through!
