Makes my Monday

Yesterday I posted about the kiddos having some very long, late, fun-filled couple of days.  I prepared for a normal early morning, but was shocked when Addy was the first to come to my room at 7:30.  Kinsley woke up around 7:45, and Eligh some time after 8:00 a.m.

I'll take an extra hour of sleep any day of the week, not just a Monday.

How did your Monday start off?

Weekend run down

  • Friday -
    • Cleaned, blah, blah, blah
    • Took the kiddos to a jump place where they babysat the kids
    • Mommy and daddy went on a double date
  • Saturday - Cody worked (seems to be a reoccurring theme of the summer for him)
    • I cleaned all morning
    • Addy had a t-ball game (she caught all five balls that came her way - getting better each week)
    • Set up two blow up slides
    • Another family came over to swim
    • Cody came home to grill, have a couple drinks, and play a couple games of bags
    • Eligh spent the night at the friend's house and I took their daughter. I had the house with three girls, she had the house with three boys
  • Sunday
    • Girls were up super early giggling and making farting noises
    • Cody went golfing
    • Made girls breakfast
    • Girls played
    • Took friend home, picked up Eligh
    • Fed my three some lunch
    • Put them down for a nap (instant passing out)
    • Cody came home
    • I went for a pedicure (second one in my entire life - will definitely do again)
    • Ran to the store
    • Came home to find my three and our friends' kids and husband swimming and hanging out
    • Cooked out, had a couple of drinks, and a game of bags
  • Two late nights and loads of playing for me you would hope for them to sleep in tomorrow, but this is not my reality.

Commonly used attention seeking phrases

Lately my three can't get enough of the following phrases:

"Can I tell you something?"
"Guess what?"
"But, mom...."
"Can I whisper in your ear?"

What questions or phrases are your kiddos repeatedly using in your house?

And then what?

I'm finishing up my last week of my second to last class before I receive my masters degree.  By the end of July I'll be done with school and I can see the end in sight.  This is great, BUT now I am struggling with "and then what?"

Upon deciding to stay home with the kiddos full time for the past couple two and a half years I have had something on my plate.  Living with my parents while dealing with a third deployment, moving, more moving, and then school.

I'm struggling trying to figure out what to do next.  I am in my head tossing ideas back and forth, but not able to put my foot down ready to walk down a path.  It is complete torture.

So....tell me something, ANYthing to entertain me.

Cute baby Saturday - tball

Addy joined tball this summer for the real team playing.  So far she has had two games and seems to be having loads of fun.
